The Tech Titans chose a different style to beat Roncalli with 2:09 left in the 3rd quarter and an eight point lead Cj Walker dribbled across the timeline and picked up the ball and stood there.Roncalli sat back in their 2-3 zone and didn’t pressure the ball. The crowd became anxious and the Tech fans began to cheer. Finally with under 10 seconds they passed the ball around but Josh Whitfield’s’ floater went off the rim and the quarter ended the Titans took a 45-37 into the 4th. The Titans started the quarter off like they ended the 3rd for almost 5 minutes of game time the Titans held possession of the ball. Cj Walker broke the scoring drought by getting to the free throw line to make it a 10-pt
game. Cj took over the fourth quarter (5points) and put the nail in the coffin with an alley-oop pass to Jeremie Tyler to make it a 54-44 game with less than 30 second left. Justin Parkers two free-throws gave the Titans a 12 point lead and the Sectional Title.
Jeremie Tyler said “it feels good but we ain’t finished yet”.
Tyler lead all scorers with 20 points (7-7 FG) including 4 of 4 from 3
Justin Parker added 11 points (4-5 FG)
Lyles had six points 17 rebounds
The Titans will face #7 Richmond Saturday 10 AM @ Southport in the regional
